The Climate Champions Team (CCT) is seeking a Regional Director for Africa to lead and implement the Africa’s regional strategy in support of the two serving UN Climate Change High-Level Champions. The role focuses on working with a diverse range of partners, including businesses, investors, local governments, and civil society, to accelerate voluntary climate solutions that support governments in achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement.

This position requires deep expertise across various climate topics, a proven ability to foster collaboration, and the skills to mobilize voluntary leadership to drive climate and sustainable development action in Africa. Strong communication abilities are essential to inspire and inform stakeholders while ensuring Africa’s climate priorities are well represented.

The Africa Regional Director will work closely with other CCT Department and Regional Directors to manage a highly matrixed work program, ensuring that African perspectives are integrated into global strategies and that international priorities are implemented effectively at the regional level.
